How to Resize a GIF

Resize Without Losing the Animation

Regular image resizers often save only the first frame of a GIF. That kills the animation. This GIF resizer works frame by frame. It rebuilds each complete frame, resizes it smoothly, and puts the animation back together with the original timing.

Downsize a GIF

Downsizing is the most common reason to resize a GIF. Big GIFs load slowly and often break upload limits on Discord, forums and email. Change the size of the GIF to 50% or set a smaller width, and the file usually shrinks by half or more.

Can I Make a GIF Bigger?

Yes, you can scale a GIF up to 150% or 200%. The tool uses smooth scaling, so it looks cleaner than simple pixel stretching. But it can't add real detail. Small, low-quality GIFs will look soft when enlarged.

Make the File Smaller Too
