What We Do
ImgLeaf is a collection of free online image tools. You can convert, compress, resize, crop and edit pictures. You can remove backgrounds, make GIFs, turn photos into PDFs and pull text out of images.
We built ImgLeaf because most image tools online are slow, cluttered or ask you to upload private photos to a server you know nothing about. We wanted something better: fast tools that just work, on any device, without a sign-up.
How Our Tools Work
Every tool on ImgLeaf runs inside your web browser. When you add a photo, your own device does the work. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, and we never see them.
This approach has three big benefits:
- Privacy. Personal photos, ID scans and client work stay on your device.
- Speed. There's no upload or download queue, so results appear in seconds.
- No limits. We don't pay for processing power, so we don't need to cap your usage.
Some tools, like the background remover and the image to text tool, download a small open-source model the first time you use them. After that, they also run fully on your device.
Our Guides
Alongside the tools, we write plain-English guides about image formats and editing. We want you to understand why a format or setting matters, not just click a button. You'll find them all on our blog.
